January 28, 2022: Literacy in the Great Outdoors
This year, Family Literacy Day’s theme is “Learning in the Great Outdoors”. Spending time outdoors reduces stress, boosts concentration, and increases a child’s engagement in learning. The outdoor environment provides opportunities for rich hands-on experiences that engage all of the senses. In this Parent Learning Hour, we will discuss the importance of participating in learning activities as a family, and explore how families can incorporate literacy into outdoor fun.
